Zeit is killing off Now v1 as of Aug 7, 2020. Of course many of my projects rely on Docker which is only supported in Now v1… So, it was time to move.
My main project is an internal tool built on Meteor which makes it especially bad for Zeit (now Vercel) style microservices. NodeChef and Heroku are too expensive for my tastes, especially since I have a few other small projects to re-home as well. So, I decided it was time to roll my own.
But I hate the tedium of setting up and maintaining reptitive stuff. Nginx configs, Let’s Encrypt certs, etc. Luckily, I stumbled across CapRover.
After a few attempts, I had my Meteor project docker-ified and running under CapRover, and life was good again.
